Poem #1

You're the shining beacon of my day,
The light that guides me through the darkest of ways.
Together, we make but one deity,
A worshiped divinity, just you and me.

You're the glint in my eyes, the warmth of my blush,
My heart beats wildly at the feel of your touch.
I am only a rosebud, simple with little elegance,
But you are the roots of my stem, my own florescence.

The demeanor of Midas' golden touch,
Cannot compare to your gentle brush.
The light of the stars, the warmth of the sun,
Cannot compare to all that is my one.

My only.

And how I wish forever wasn't a lie,
I never ever want ... to say goodbye.
